Ouch!

BEWARE! Some of the pictures are graphic (in my opinion!)

On Friday night, Ale slammed his finger in the car door:( We in the parking lot of The Pie Pizzeria ready to go eat and instantly his finger was black and swollen huge! My mom had read that if you heat up a paperclip and poke it through the nail, it will relieve some of the blood and pressure. When Laura and Dave, Mom and Popcan came, that is what Popcan did-at the restaurant! Don't worry, these pictures are not from the restaurant! It was disgusting and I did not participate because I am ServSafe certified know that that is not sanitary!

After a restless night because of the pain, Popcan decided we should numb the thumb and poke a bigger hole. These are the pictures and they are pretty graphic so beware! I am sad that we will lose his fingernail and I hope it starts feeling better soon! Love you Ale!

This is what happened after creating the hole.

Poking the hole in the numb thumb!

P.S. Mom also read that most slammed fingers are self diagnosed- who would have thunk?

I hope this explains it...

Dave introduced this to me. I hope this explains everything.

Car Show!!!!

We went to the car show a couple of weeks ago at the South Towne Expo Center. It was Alejandro's dream! All 2010 cars! This is a Lamborghini we saw driving to the show. I didn't think it was as cool as Ale did!

Chimpanzee riding on a segway!

The awesome Jeep Wranglers

This was huge! It was so hard to get up into!

This is the Audi R8. It has the engine in the back like an old Beetle...lame

This is for Rebe and Tyler. Go Prius!

Mom- this should be your new car. Only $75, 000!

Ale and a corvette.

The show had some pretty cool cars. Ale's favorites of course were the Audi's. I liked the Lexus' and Land Rovers! There was a Land Rover for $278,000 and it was sold! Crazy rich people. Some day...

Guess where I am going?

Yea! We booked a cruise with our good friends Wendy and Steve! We will be going to the Mexican Riviera on Mariner of the Seas! This is the text I got from Wendy the morning after we booked, "I woke up, and I remembered, and I'm so excited all over again!!" It is going to be a blast!

Christmas!

We had a very nice Christmas this year. We had a yummy Christmas Eve dinner with my family with Cranberry wassail. We opened presents at our apartment together on Christmas morning- Ale got new shoes, EFX bracelet, shovel and a sled and I got slippers, salad thongs and a Henkels knife set!!! We then headed over to my parents house and opened presents there. It was a nice relaxing day and we saw Sherlock Holmes that night (a movie filmed for men). For New Years Eve we met Ale's family in Rexburg. It was fun to go back up for the first time since we have moved. We celebrated the Argentine way with lots and lots of meat!!! We sang kareoke that night and then made toasts at midnight! It was a fun Christmas season and I was sad to see it end!

This is our very cute Christmas Tree! I got up after Ale fell asleep, wrapped his presents and stuffed his stocking- It was so fun but I was scared the whole time that he would catch me!

This is my puzzle cake. You have to layer and cut it these crazy ways so it has straight and diagonal layers.

This is the Puzzle Cake before we cute it. As you can see, I did not make enough icing!

Here we are showing off our new footware. Wendy- Sadly, Ale chose shoes with laces after us looking for hours and hours!

Rexburg was fun but I don't have any pictures from our trip:( I tried to transfer some from his sisters facebook but I don't know how. We had a blast the whole holiday season. To end- I just want to give a shout out to this awesome warm winter we are having! Yeah!

Fun with the Tates

Last weekend we went Salt Lake with our friends the Tates (Wendy Hallows) and we had so much fun together! We took pictures of them for their Christmas cards and they did the same for us.

It was really fun and we ate at Macaroni Grill! Yum!

About a month ago we went to Nickle Cade with them. It was really ghetto! I think they bought of all the games from Play Town and Kids Castle. They even had Big Bertha!

Here's Ale beating up on those crabs!

Wendy and I racing horses

We still have as much fun together as we did from Kindergarten to high school!

Thanks Tates for the fun times together!

The Curious Case of Alejandro Valquinto

My husband has an obsession, anyone want to guess what it is? Not sports or hunting but cars! Buying and selling cars is his thing! We have been married for 15 months and just this weekend he bought his 5th car since we have been married. This is a very regular thing. This post is dedicated to those many cars we have driven together.

This is Beautiful Blue, the Lancer he drove when we first got married. He treated us well!

This is Coby the Cobalt. I definately was not a fan and luckily we quickly got rid of him!

This is the first Audi we had and it gave us trouble at first (the transmission went out the day we bought it!) but in the end it was a really good car. He was never given a name

This is Chuckles. Alejandro was obsessed with VW Rabbits for about 2 months and had to get this one. We only drove him for about 1 1/2 months. Chuckles was a good car.

This is Jamal. Our family's newest addition. Ale got a really good deal on it. It is a 2003 Audi A4. I am definitely glad to heated seats again!
To feed the obsession, Ale wants to open a car dealership in about a year or two. He is really getting experience through selling all these cars and finding good deals! How many cars have you had since you have been married?...or single!
